Brown's Tavern Marker

Location: Unknown. This marker was located at the northeast corner of Second Street and Main Street, Rockport, Indiana.

Brown's Tavern Plaque

Abraham Lincoln stayed at Brown's Tavern on the bluff when he visited in 1844. At one time, a marker, made by George, was at this site. In 2005, a stone marker and an Indiana Historical Marker are now at that location. Plants have overgrown the area, and the original marker can't be found.
