In 2002, the authors were on the way to Bloomington, Illinois to photograph a Honig memorial. One saw a sign indicating the Ernie Pyle Home was 10 miles off the route. The other didn't want to visit, but gave in to his better half.

After arriving, it was found that the home was closed due to State of Indiana budget cuts. A person shouted that the home was closed. After explaining that we were researching George Honig's plaques, he introduced himself as the caretaker. He opened the home and the authors went upstairs. From behind a bunch of junk, he pulled this plaque. The authors were amazed at their luck in finding another prize.
