George H. Honig Paintings
Lady with Red Hair
It was the intention of this website to list plaques and sculptures. The depth of Honig's artistic work was not known when this project began. These are only a few of his paintings.
While searching for tablets at Camp Reveal in July, 2007, two large paintings were found one has Honig's name and the other is in his style.
This woman reaper painting measures 8 1/2 or 9 feet wide and 6 feet tall. It does not have Honig's name but appears to be in his style.
The second painting is at the front of the chapel and measures 16 1/2 feet wide by 6 feet tall. It has Honig's name and the dates 1918 and 1946. It is believed the painting was made in 1918 and hung at Camp Reveal in 1946.
A staff member stated that plans were for a loft at the top and the paintings would be taken down. It would be a shame to lose such great works of art.
