MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION

---------------------

GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO GUESTS AND CITIZENS WHO

CELEBRATE WITH US THE GLORIOUS 4TH OF JULY

As Mayor of the City of Rockport, I declare this 4th of July, 1935, a special day in the history of our city. We celebrate at this time the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. In our nation's history, and in our town's history, the dedication of our "Lincoln Pioneer Village", is a national memorial to Abraham Lincoln and the pioneers of Spencer County, Indiana.

Let us put aside business cares for the day, greet old friends, welcome our guests, and have a happy and great celebration.

HARVEY T. CHINN, Mayor
