Front View of the Museum

The Museum stands directly north of the Village. The rear of the building forms part of the fence for the grounds. It was used as an entrance after the Entrance Cabin was removed.

The Museum was constructed in 1950 by the Rockport Park Improvement Association and was intended to be fireproof. It contains several valuable antiques from the era. A cabinet built by Thomas Lincoln, Abraham's father, is included in the collection.

This image was taken in April, 2009 and shows the new handicap entrance. A marker provided by the Spencer County Historical Society and the Dawson family has been erected by the entrance and dedicated to George Honig.
